      I used to buy the refills for these all the time with my first child. When I had my second child shortly after the first, I had less money overall since I now had 2 kids in diapers. I was buying 2 different sizes of diapers. So I stopped buying the refills and just used regular shopping bags in the bottom half of the diaper genie. Worked just the same way. Anytime I put in a smelly diaper, I changed the bag, and I used a new bag every day. It was cheaper to spend 5 cents a bag at the grocery checkout and use those instead of buying the genie refills.
