Rexall PharmaPlus Canada Coupon Policy

Rexall PharmaPlus Canada Logo

Here is the coupon policy that I just received from Rexall Pharma Plus. It looks like I won’t be shopping at this store very often!

Thank you for your email.

We do not have a coupon policy.

Whatever is on the back of the coupon is what we honour.

I know our stores do accept manufactures coupons; however some Rexall coupons might have a disclaimer that says that it cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotions.

Ultimately, the store manager has the final say whether or not you can use two coupons together or not.

Hope that helps,

A couple days ago I went to Rexall with a Rexall coupon and the cashier would not let me use it. She came up with 3 different excuses as to why I could not use it. I didn’t have time to waist, so I just left. When I got home I e-mailed the Rexall head office and after a few days they did email me back. By the end of everything, my local Rexall store manager offered to personally honour my coupon. I’m still not sure if I’ll go back to Rexall though.

  2. Melody says:

I agree that Rexall coupon policies are ridiculous. I’ve worked at one for a few years now and gone through a few managers. The bottom line is it’s really up to the manager. I’ve had ridiculous anti coupon managers and go-for-it managers. Really best to call the manager, not the employee ahead of time and ask them.

i will be calling head office tomorrow about what was a complete waste of time today at rexall. I was treated like a theif for trying to use my coupons on sale prices..things were ringing up wrong prices and I was told they do not follow the scanning code of practice. they kept my $10 multibionita coupons because they said they were fraudulant, was told there was no b2g1 magazine promotion and when I called the store owner today and read him the letter above he told me not to bother using my P&g duracel coupons this sat for the 2/$5 sale as they will not be honoured…can they reject p&g coupons?

  4. Jennifer says:

I was so disappointed today when I went to rexall to get the multibonita vitamins that were on sale for $9.99 with my $10 coupon and the cashier told me that I would have to buy 2 and only use one coupon because the coupon exceeded the value of the vitamins. The manage (I assume) came over and told me that I cannot use my coupons at all because they were worth more than the vitamins. Because they do not have a coupon policy I was sure they would accept my coupons and I would just be on my way. Instead I waited on line for 10 minutes then waited another 10 minutes for the manager and she talked to me like I was the biggest moron in the world. Because she was so rude I left while she was still talking and needless to say I will NEVER go to another Rexall store in my life. I don’t care if they are giving things away for free, I will NOT be treated like that again! What a joke….

just tried to get the vim on for 99cents had coupon for a $1 in southampton ont.Iwas told it was on sale and i could not use the coupon. last time oin that store.

  6. luciferchaos: Please do your research before you leave comments like that. Stores are NOT out money when you use a coupon on a sale item. They are completely reimbursed by the manufacturer for the coupon value. A manufacturer just wants you to buy their product. They don’t care if you buy it on sale with a coupon.

  7. luciferchaos says:

You cannot combine offers with a coupon. This is standard retail policy. Otherwise, what happens is the store will not be reimbursed by the vendor. Thus, the store will lose money. You can only use the coupons when the item is bought at the regular retail price.

If the coupon have no such disclaimer, you can probably challenge the store manager, but don’t assume the coupon is valid for any offer. Retail stores do not like to lose money. If this is all about you, nobody is going to help a self-centered individual. And frankly, I wouldn’t want a customer like that ever.

Carol: I would say they come out every few weeks or so. There is one out now! :)

  9. Carol McCann says:

  10. Shawna says:

Rexall in Orleans is the worse store to coupon at, I always get treated like im stealing because im using coupons!! Its so frustrating

  11. Julie: I believe Zellers carries them, so you could always price match there if there’s a Zellers in your area.

  12. Julie says:

Went there on Saturday for the Mulitbionta vitamins they have on sale for $9.99 they would not use my coupon of $10. They said they do not use internet coupons and do not accept coupons that were above the price whether sale or regular…bummer cause my Walmart doesn’t have these vitamins:(

  13. barb says:

I tried to use a coupon as well that ended up with them owing me a few cents, but had more things in my cart that it could have been taken off, walmart does this all the time for me! See…..the store will be getting the FULL amount of the coupon back so why shouldn’t I???? I argued with the cashier my reasoning, which of course she argued back, then I left my whole order there, not heading there anymore, I will just bring their flyer to walmart and get the pricing there if need be! Arrgggg, frustrating!

  14. Liz says:

I just bought the Gillette shave gel this morning that was on for $1.99 – got 3 and used my save $5 when you buy 3 and had no issues from the cashier.

  15. I’m sorry that some of you have been having issues using coupons at Rexall.

There is no such rule that you cannot use a coupon on a sale item. That is just plain ridiculous!

  16. Lindsay D says:

I was at rexall the other day.. I was told I can’t use coupons on a item on sale and if the coupon says may not be combined with other offers.

thats that the cashier told me..

I’ll be going this weekend for the airmiles.. but wont be back often after that,

  17. Denise says:

OMG! Had a kart full of items at Rexall today, and when I got to cash was told they no longer take coupons on sale items!! It’s either the sale price or the coupon, but not both. INSANE! I left my kart there and told her I would just go to WalMart and get a PM then and that they would be losing lots of business!! Crazy! I’ll be contacting their head office tomorrow!!

  18. Amanda says:

I was treated with absolute disrespect by a cashier who refused to take my coupon for Old Spice WUB2 get $3 off because the cost per Old Spice was $1.49. He said that the coupon was more than the cost of the deoderant. I then asked if he could take off $2.98 so that it was balance and he flat out said no. It was embarrassing to say the least.

  19. carm says:

I phoned the store and spoke with the manager. When they put out their own coupon book some of the coupons can be matched with PG brand coupons in the SmartSource. I asked the manager if I could use any coupons to pair with theirs and he stated yes I could. They do accept printed coupons (make sure to ask, printed manufacturer’s coupons), I have yet to find out whether they would do overages. I plan my shopping trip carefully, starting first with their coupon book, my other manufacturer’s coupons (and since you can use their own coupons more than once, fantastic). I always use them, I don’t care about the time it takes for them to read each one, that is why they should be opening a second cash (this is in Ontario). Please don’t be discouraged, you can actually do really well, just speak to the manager, and ask him if all of the employees are aware of the acceptance of the multiple coupons ie. all of their own matched with any manufacturer’s coupons. The manager stated that they, the store, will get their money back anyhow from the manufacturer’s coupons. Good for return business!

  20. Mrs January says:

I agree, I always avoid using coupons there.

  21. Meka says:

I got the same word-for-word email. When I redeem coupons at my local Pharmaplus…they read each word front and back for about a minute per coupon. I have had to defend myself more than once. I will do everything to use a coupon at another store….unless their sale price is just that better.
