      I checked my account today and they took the 12.59 back out. I hope that means they are sending me my books after all! (seems odd that it happened a week after I initially ordered them though…)

      I contacted Shop.ca by phone on Monday to find out about this offer. I was sent a new confirmation e-mail and told the books were being sent. I’ll wait to see what happens, but I’m not totally convinced it’s a scam yet…

      @Erin: Thanks for pointing that out. I checked my account balance and I noticed the same thing happened to me. So it seems that I will not be receiving books. Also, I unwittingly revealed my address to them in the hope of receiving books. (Just what I need, more junk mail) Looks like I will not be returning to shop.ca ever again. They just lost a customer.

      @Cassie: I think you should update the post to reflect the fact that this was no promotion at all. It seems this website was just phishing for our personal information…
