      Just a heads up. If you’re trying to use a gift card on the Sears website you’ll still need a credit card, EVEN IF the gift card it worth more than what you’re purchasing!

      I wish I’d known that BEFORE getting to the checkout!

      “Gift Card and Rewards Card Redemption

      Sears.ca now offers Gift Card and Rewards Card Redemption. Redemption of gift cards and rewards cards is not done immediately and therefore we process these orders in four steps:

      Enter a valid credit card and the Sears Gift Card or Rewards Card identification number
      Sears Canada will process your credit card for the total amount of your order
      Sears Canada will process the Sears Gift Card or Rewards Card for the balance remaining on the card
      Sears Canada will reimburse (debit) the customer for the total amount processed on the gift card or rewards card.”
