Hey everyone, somewhat new couponer here. I scored some pretty amazing deals this week. Independent had there box of 2 McCain pizza pockets on for a dollar, and some kind lady gave me some coupons for a dollar off which means I got 15 boxes of pizza pockets for free.
The second deal of this week was from the brick. They had a promotion on. Anyone who showed up before nine am received a 25$ brick card to spend in the store today. Both my boyfriend and I received on as we have different home addresses. I got a 3 foot bookcase for free and my boyfriend got a 6 foot bookcase for 25.00. We both needed bookcases so it definitely was a steal of a deal for us. Anyways I can say that I am definitely hooked on couponing, Thanks for the amazing information you have provided on your site Mrs. January, and to all that share there tips!!!.

Ok here are my purchases for today.
Pizza was on sale at Walmart and I still had a couple of coupons left, but my best deal of the day was at Superstore. I was going to pick up some Dove shampoo at SDM becuase it was on sale and my coupons were going to expire Jan31, SS had the twin packs on sale for the same $4.99 price so I got for twins for the same price as what I would have paid at SDM plus my $6 in Dove coupons. The kicker is that I forgot to use my Dove coupons at SS so made hubby turn around and go back and the CSR refunded my $6 without hesitation. PLUS I got a $10 card for SDM.

  5. Mia says:

NICE deals, Mrs. January! This was definitely a good week for deal and coupon hunting. My favourite deals that I snagged today were:

    Metro
3 x Nestle chocolates (in a big tin that can turn into a piggy bank) @ 2.49 each (reg. 9.99!!!)
1 x BIG Kinder surprise @ 2.49 (reg. 9.99!!! I thought that was a steal considering the little ones are a buck each usually)

    SDM
    1 x Quo baked palette set @ 22.50 (reg. 45.00)
1 x bag of Halloween candy @ 0.99 (reg. 4.99… I made sure the expiry on this was well after Oct 2012 since I intend on saving them til Halloween and don’t want them to be expiring too soon! Most of the other candies they had on sale expire before that)
1 x Covergirl blush palette @ 2.99 – 4.00 = +1.01 :O Could’ve picked up one more since I had two of these coupons but I just need one blush set… I want to save the other coupon for a lipgloss or something even if no overage is involved. :)
1 x HoMedics Pedicure Spa with Heat @ 29.99 (reg. 59.99… I haven’t decided whether to gift this away or keep it for myself!!!)
1 x Melatonin + bonus eye mask @ 9.99 (sale price listed on shelf was 11.99 so I saved even more money than expected. Love when that happens!)

Got some other things too, so total before taxes and after coupons was around $77 which means I also got the free movie tickets. :)

    Frescho
6 x Nestea @ $1 – 1 = FREE!!!! (Would’ve picked up more but they expire Feb and I just wanted to pick up what we could drink. I ROAKed two coupons to a nice lady eyeing the sale.)
    10 x Dole fruit cups @ $1 – $1WUB2 = 0.50 each…. great healthy snacks!
    3 x Rice Krispies Squares @ 1.66 (PM FB) – B2G1 = 1.11 each!!!
1 x bag romaine salad @ 1.00 (unexpected deal and it’s FOOD and I was planning to buy bagged salad anyway. Win-win-win situation. :))
2 x Eggos @ 1.66 – 0.75 = 0.91 each. WHAT. A. STEAL. I’ve never seen Eggo prices so cheap. I may go back and get more, once I clear out my freezer a bit. There’s just not enough room right now, even though I take everything out of the box to store. :(

PLUS I found all the coupons I wanted (mainly the Lactancia, Campbells and Alymers) at Metro so I’m supremely happy. :)

New to this site! What does WUB mean?

  7. Mia says:

Oops, I realized that I typed Dole fruit cups but I meant Delmorte.

Karen, WUB stand for “When You Buy”

  8. Mrs January says:

Whoo, great deals, everyone. Thanks for sharing! :)

  9. Mrs January says:

    tammy: Various stores carry these.

  10. karen says:

I got some great deals today at SDM, but when I got home realized a couple mistakes at the register.

The best deal was Head and Shoulders Shampoo, with a bonus Fusion Proglide Razor. It was on for 5.99 – 1.00 coupon, plus I had bonus 1000 optimum points coupon.

I also bought the 500 ml Crest prohealth rinse – I thought it was on for 4.99, but really it was 5.49. The 1L was on for 4.99. I did use my dollar off coupon and the free floss which was valued at 3.99. Since I bought 2, the price for the floss dropped to 3.49, but the cashier valued the coupon at 3.99. Didn’t realize this until after I went to a second shoppers to get the battery charger and rechargable batteries. So I bought a 1L one at the second store, and got another free floss.

I did 2 separate transactions ; and all totalled, I spent 152.10, got 4 free movie coupons, used 34.96 in coupons, and got 4140 optimum points. Plus I put everything on my Shoppers mastercard to get even more points.
