Shoppers Drug Mart Bonus Redemption: July 22, 2012

I don’t normally redeem my points at Shoppers Drug Mart unless I have the maximum amount (95,000), but there were just too many bonus point coupons to pass up this time around.

Also, we really needed cat litter, honey and training pants and those items are not cheap, so I figured that I might as well redeem my points this week, even though I only had $100 worth.

nicole: That’s because I forgot my binder at home (only had a small pile of coupons in our vehicle) and didn’t feel like going home to get them.

    2. nicole says:

i thought you couldnt use bonus point coupons on promotions anymore? or is that just when ‘earning points’ ie 20x times days?
also im just curious why you didnt use any diaper/wipes coupons along with the bonus point coupons? these are so readily available im just surprised that none were used. you talk about using coupons to further these promotions but the only coupons you used were for the protein bars. just lost is all.

I was so excited! My son and I redeemed our 50K points and purchased a Kindle! They were on sale for $109.99 – $100 redemption = $9.99. With tax, I paid just over $15. I love love love the Optimum program! I have redeemed for hundreds of $$ in the one year I’ve had the card. Prior to Christmas, I saved over $300 on Christmas gifts using my mega bonus redemption combined with coupons. I spent just over $80 for $400 in gifts. Prior to that, I purchased a laptop during their Black Friday sale, which cost me just over $100 OOP after using my points redemption.

I always save my SDM shopping for 20X points events or when I have bonus points coupons mailed to me and combine coupons with sales. Cassie, thank you so much for sharing information on this wonderful program with me…I would have never started shopping there if it wasn’t for you.

      Thank You!!!

@luolu, also Mrs January EARNED more points on the wipes (1500) PLUS a portion of the 8000 came from spending $50, and the wipes contributed to that 8000 points.

So MrsJanuary EARNED more Shoppers Optimum points — far more money that a coupon could take off.

    5. Krista says:

@luolu, look at the blog again
look at the out of pocket amount again
it wasn’t $5.49 for the wipes – it was free!
      and no coupon was used.

    6. Olivia says:

Great Cassie…..almost $30.00 extra earned in points with this purchase ,which was almost free for you. You are way ahead!

    7. luolu says:

im surprised not a very impressive shop, not many coupons and 5.49 for a pack of wibes is ridiculous

    8. Marisa says:

I cannot find those pure protein bars anywhere. My Shoppers never have them in stock and no where else seems to have them.
Sweet Baby Ray bbq sauce too. My 2 Walmarts didn’t ever have any.
I am missing out on free items :(

    9. Cassie says:

      Whoops, they were $4.

    10. its me says:

you have a picture of swimmers but no mention of them in the write up, how much did you pay for those?

    11. Krista says:

      Awesome out of pocket amount!
      Great shopping.
