Shoppers Drug Mart Canada 20x Points Deals

My husband was lucky enough to get a very generous end of year bonus last year (and we just got it early this month!), so we used some of it to stock up on formula.

Shoppers Drug Mart was nice enough to let me order 7 cases (I wanted 9 total and they only had 2) and pay for them today so I could get 20x the points on my purchase. I was so excited!

*Please no negative comments about formula. They will be removed.

    1. Proud Breastfeeder says:

I think it is very offensive you claim to take down any negative comments about the formula but you leave up all the comments. denouncing breastfeeders. It’s 1 thing to choose to formula feed but to leave a bunch of comments that are pro formula and make breastfeeders look like bad judgemental people is just asking for a breastfeeder to step up and reply. I chose to be selfless and do the healthier (and more frugal) thing for my baby and I have to read a bunch of comments that offend me from women that want applause for being to selfish/lazy to breastfeed? Only 2percent of women actually cannot physically breastfeed. That is what formula is there for.. Bottle feeders ccreate their own stigma, if you feel guily for your choice you shouldn’t try to make breastfeeders feel guily for being proud or try to convince people it’s ok to choose the less healthier option because you did and you want to feel better about yourselves. Our government uses over $100,000 each year to campaign that breastfeeding is the healthier option ( if it is an option) for a reason and then I have to come onto a site I thought I enjoyed very much to read a bunch of women encouraging eachother and other people to bottlefeed for no other reason than to feel less guillty about their choice.. You shouldve took down all the comments Cassie, in case you know your comments came across the eyes of someone very passionate about breastfeeding and who volunteers for lelecheleague of canada.

I am appalled that you had to write “Please no negative comments about formula. They will be removed.” And even more appalled that people would actually comment on the fact that you have chosen to formula feed your child. I did breastfeed my son for 14 months (even though I went back to work at 6 months – that was fun pumping for 8 months!), but that was my choice. Whether it was your choice to formula feed, or the fact that you couldn’t breastfeed and had no choice but to formula feed…it was/is your choice. People should think before they speak. I applaude you for being so open about formula feeding your little one, when the world today is so focused on breastfeeding. Congratulations on welcoming your daughter to this world I’m sure Elliot loves being a big brother!

Wow – and i thought i would be the only one to offer support on formula feeding!!! When I had my first I felt like the only mother that chose not to breastfeed. I swear, I tried but he bit me all the time! Teeth or no teeth, it hurt… I pumped, but only lasted three months before I switched. I did the same with my second – and they are both happy, healthy, energetic and bright boys!!! Just enjoy them and tune out all the breast crazy negativity! :)

    4. Cassie says:

Thank you for the kind comments, everyone. :)

Monica: That’s great! I’m so glad it’s been helpful for you.

      Mrs B: You’re very welcome!

Elizabeth: They are sticker’s found at SDM that are usually put on products that are about to expire.

WOW!! I’m super impressed by this. Just think, if formula is on sale when the bonus event happens, you can stock pile until the baby’s 1!! :) I have a bunch of Similac coupons that I don’t use, I wish I could have given them to you. Congrats on the new addition! PS I formula fed my 1st daughter from birth and she is a totally healthy, happy, brilliant 3-year-old. So there, to any nay-sayers.
