  • Shoppers Optimum Deals: October 13, 2012 (Paid $209, Earned $178 in Points + 2 Free $10 Gift Cards)

  • Today I went to a bunch of Shoppers Drug Mart locations to what clearance deals I could find.

I didn’t see much, but did stumble across something better – 2,500 Shoppers Optimum points when you buy any Huggies wipes or diapers (no coupon required). The wipes refills are on sale for $6.49 this week, and 2,500 points is worth $6.58 at the mega redemption in December – so this is a fantastic deal!

I bought a few packages of wipes at 4 different stores, so as not to clear any shelves. At the last store, they were out of the wipes refills, so I just bought regular wipes. The value isn’t as good, but the bonus points make this a good deal.

Please note: I did not get the points on my bill with the regular wipes. I will have to call head office about that. I should get them because there is a photo of them on the website.

just a heads up this is from the shoppers website

    2. Catherine says:

Mrs January, did you find out if points are awaded on the smaller boxe

    3. Kim says:

I bought 1 huggies and 1 pampers wipes yesterday. In store they only had the sale price + bonus points listed for the pampers. At the cash the huggies also came up the sale price, but I only got bonus points for 1 wipes package. I’m in ontario, wondering if there is a difference province to province? Should I call to ask about bonus points? Also bought q-tips that were on sale and noted bonus points would apply but only got reg. points for them???

    5. Melissa says:

Where is the 2500 points coupon for the Huggies Wipes or are the points just automatically applied?

    6. Mindy says:

Also, this Wednesday is an exclusive 20x the points event. If buying 50$ worth of wipes would you get 20x the points + 2500 points per package of wipes? Or is it only one or the other?

      • Cassie Howard says:

        You would get both. :)

        • Amanda says:

I just tried to do this. I bought some wipes along with a bunch of other stuff. I got the product bonus points, but not the 20x the regular points. I just called and they said I can only get one or the other. :(

    7. mindy says:

Mrs January, Could you please tell me your formula for figuring out how many points for mega/bonus redemption days.
Example: 38,000 points usually worth $60.00, but on mega redemption day 38,000 points would be worth ______. Is there a certain percentage you use?

    8. Katie says:

Just a heads up that the Softsoap coupon is for the new “Pampered Hands” kind of Softsoap and it is only the regular softsoap on sale. I was disappointed but still hit $75 no problem and got the two bonus cards.

      • Matchstix says:

The pampered hands still scan at $1.99 I went to 2 different stores yesterday and they had no sale tags but did scan at sale price.

    9. Danelle says:

      Hi Mrs. J,

Did you phone and find out why you didn’t get the points on the regular wipes? It looks like they are going to be on sale next week and with the points they will be a fantastic deal. Now if they don’t qualify then that is different. Wish there were some more specifics on the website.

      Thanks!

    10. Jennifer says:

Thanks – I went to my shoppers and they had most of there food discounted. I got $400 worth of food ( 20 boxes granola bars, 4 boxes of wippes, 3 cases of diapers and more) for $ 80 ( I used some coupons). I got 64,000 points and got a $10 shoppers card and a $10 tims card – great deals

    11. Adele says:

You could also have used the 16000 Optimum Pts WUB $100 to make it an even better deal.

    12. Jas says:

The Huggies wipes are regular price (10.49) in the west. :( Only the pampers are 6.49.

      • Jennifer P. says:

Jas, I am in BC and the Huggies refills were advertised in our flyer as being on sale but when we went to the store the regular price tag was still up (and sale tags only on Pampers) so I thought they weren’t on sale, but when we went to the cashier they rang up at the sale price. They only had one Natural Care pack left and they actually rang up at $3.99, and the One and Done ones were $6.49. Seems like out west they maybe just didn’t set the sore displays up right!

    13. paula0000 says:

    14. Nikki JC says:

I bought 1 package each of wipes and diapers and only earned 2500 points. :$ I think head office will be hearing from me, too.

    15. Andrea says:

Wow, great deal on the wipes. I’d get in on the deal too, but i’ve have teenage girls. They’re costing me a fortune in toilet paper though. LOL
