      @ Anne

Anne, if MrsJanuary brought flyers from other stores to Walmart, and price matched the best price, you would see the savings. In this case, Walmart was the cheapest.

You can do this too — get the best price by just going to one store. It is not by accident. It’s all planned.

      : )

Sabrina: They are just the little bags.

    3. Sabrina says:

Are the compost bags the ones for the little bins or the big bins?

Thanks so much for posting your shopping deals. None of us ever get the best price all the time, and if we did, we probably would have spent a lot more on gas! (unless you take transit where the time spent goes up exponentially with each transfer…)

    4. Cassie says:

Anne: I am going by the regular price of the store I am shopping at. That’s the way I calculate my savings, for my own records. I’m sorry if you don’t agree with it.

    5. Anne says:

I understand when you price match or use coupons you can call it savings. I do not understand for instance the canteloupe, it is 1.27 at walmart, yes it may be 2.27 at another grocery but how can you say you saved money. You just happened to be shopping there and their price was cheaper.

Overall i think you can only really count what you save via coupons and price match, am I missing something, I am confused/

    6. Cassie says:

      patricia: Thanks for the tip!

Jen: I try to make a trip for donations every month, but haven’t found too many deals lately, so it’s often every 2-3 months now.

Katie: Unfortunately I don’t catch all the deals.

    7. Katie says:

I’m surprised you didn’t price match the Palmolive. I think it was Shoppers had them on sale last week for $1.99 and then I used the coupon.

    8. Jen says:

since you go grocery shopping weekly how long do you keep products that are in your stock pile before you give them away or donate them?

    9. patricia says:

i love the compost bags…. but you paid way too much… The $1 storeDollarama) sells them for $1 for 10…. and ive seen the glad ones on sale for
      $5 … just a heads up.
