Walmart Canada Deals: May 5, 2012 I don’t know what I was thinking, but I agreed to do a half marathon with my husband in November (or October, we haven’t decided which one yet).

So now I am focused on working out and eating much more healthy than I was in the past.

Of course, when you start to eat healthy, you realize just how expensive healthy foods can be. The best way that I have found to save on healthy foods is to purchase them on sale.

So – that’s what I did this week, and I only used one coupon! I really wish there were coupons for produce.

I am looking forward to losing the baby weight and getting into a more healthy lifestyle, but I must admit, I’m scared for our grocery bills!

Sherrine: Whoops, typo. I purchased Neilson milk (it was lactose free).

Mari-Claude: Thanks so much for the offer, but we don’t purchase that brand as it’s too expensive.

Katie: We rent and unfortunately our landlord doesn’t want us doing that in the yard.

Marion Lalonde: I didn’t know that! I’m not a huge fan of romaine, but we do purchase spinach. Not often though, as I’m not supposed to eat it (it’s very bad for those prone to kidney stones).

    2. Sherrine says:

I didn’t think Wal-mart sells Lactantia milk or Neilson Trutaste milk (except fot the Lactose-free one) & how DID u use a Neilson coupon on the Lactantia milk?

    3. Marie-Claude says:

I have a bunch of coupons for chicken (Exceldor .75$ and Prime free range 2$.) I’d be more than happy to send you some to encourage you in your running endeavors! I had a baby this year and I too am planning to run a half this fall.

    4. Dien says:

The reason why food has jumped in price so much is because of the ethanol plants that have been started in Canada. Grain prices have skyrocketed from $70/MT 15 years ago to $265 today, thus the increase in our meats and everything else that we eat. I think that it is terrible that Canada is burning food for fuel. There is an obesity crisis in Canada because healthy food is “too expensive” and all over the world there is millions of people starving, so that we can have HEALTHY FUEL. It costs over three times as much oil to make a liter of ethanol than a liter of fuel. We all have to make sure that we fuel up with fuel without ethanol, so that we boycott the system and it no longer gets made in Canada. I could go on and on about this subject, but the bottom line is that ethanol fuel is taxing on our health care system and our environment. I’m not lying about this at all and have received this information from Europe which has done away with the ethanol fuel because it really wasn’t better for our environment. PLEASE write your MP and MLA about this subject.
