  • Walmart Canada Coupon Shopping Deals (March 10, 2012)

We have some family members visiting today and I had some Woolite coupons that I wanted to use (and they were limit 1 per customer), so I dragged my family to 3 different Walmart locations in order to use them.

They were happy to oblige when I offered them free stockpile items!

Walmart Canada Coupon Shopping Deals (March 10, 2012)

      Hi Cassie..
Went to my local Walmart yesterday to see if they had Woolite for $1 and they had the same size, but the price was $3.99… So, i am wondering when you bought this product was it on sale?
      Thank you

    2. Cassie says:

Rathika: My coupon was for $3 and the product was only $1, so I received $2 in overage from each bottle purchased. Not all locations carry this size, for this price.

As for couponing classes, there is one this evening and the next one will be in May.

    3. Rathika says:

      Hi Cassie,

Thank you for all the good tips in helping all of us.

What do mean by overage from the Woolite? Is it on sale? I went to my Wal-Mart, they don’t even carry it and never seen it.

I missed your couponing classes that you offered. Will you be offering any more any time soon before the baby?
      Thanks,
      Rathika

    4. Cassie says:

Mariam: No, the company doesn’t care. They want to sell products, they don’t care who buys them and how many they buy. ;)

    5. Mariam says:

Thanks for the response Cassie! Good to have this cleared up as it was bothering me because I do believe you to be ethical which was why this didn’t make sense at first given how I interpreted the terms.

And I appreciate that you don’t clear shelves, learned that etiquette from you went I started couponing :) .

So then it’s cool with the company to even use many of these coupons in one transaction? Sweet! Happy to have been the one who wrongly interpreted :) . Great to know for future coupons, cause I though I could only do that for “one per purchase/item” not “one per person”.

      Thanks again for clarifying!

    6. Cassie says:

Mariam: I understand that you weren’t trying to be judgemental.

If I don’t believe something is ethical, I will not do it and I especially will not post about it. Whatever I post on here, I post it because I believe it was/cam be done legitimately.

As for the one per customer line – if I wanted to, I could have used all of those coupons at one store (my favourite cashier told me it was fine), but because I am an ethical couponer and an ethical person, I told her no. Not just because of the one per customer line, but because I also didn’t want to clear the shelf.

    7. Mariam says:

Okay people, I wasn’t meaning to be judgmental. I do believe Cassie is an honest and genuine person, and she is always accounting for mistakes and discrepancies in bills when she doesn’t have to. I really, really appreciate your posts, Cassie!! They are so informative and helpful, and I feel so happy for you when you get great deals, so please don’t stop showing us your awesome hauls, they are inspiring!

Cassie, you have a lot of influence given the popularity of this site, and so many people who see what you have gotten will go out and try to use the coupons in the same way. It is because your actions impact so many people that I wanted the “limit one per customer” clarified.

Her interpretation might be right, she calls companies often to clarify the terms of their coupons so I want to know for the future. Otherwise, chalk this up to just an oversight, and we know for next time not to do this. I’m always up for a good deal, I just don’t want to inadvertently do something wrong in the process

    8. Jen Campbell says:

I have read a few comments about not having flyers. Anytime there is a good deal at a store that is not near me I print the flyer off the internet. I have never had a problem price matching that way!

    9. Jen Campbell says:

I live in a smaller town – so when there is a good deal for a store that is not in the town I live I just print the flyer of the internet! I have never had a problem price matching that way!

    10. Tanya says:

Cassie, please don’t stop doing this HUGE service for us because of some rude comments by a few. We realize you don’t HAVE to do this for us and most of us really appreciate it. I’m starting to realize–especially since starting couponing/following coupon blogs—there are a lot of negative people out there. Why not spend all that energy and do something GOOD! Keep up the good work and thanks Cassie!
