  • Save On Foods - Coupon Policy Changes (Coupon Stacking Allowed!)

    Save On Foods has revised their coupon policy.

    Please be aware that each store does set their own policy, so be sure to check with the location you shop at before you use any coupons.

    Coupon Acceptance Practices

    Our coupon acceptance practices are designed to help extend more savings to our customers while ensuring we continue to offer an exceptional customer service experience to everyone in our stores.

    Rules for manufacturer issued coupons:

    • Present your coupon at the time of purchase
    • Ensure all conditions stated on the coupon are met (product to purchase, size, flavour etc.)
    • Ensure your coupon has a Canadian address
    • Ensure your coupon is redeemed prior to the expiration date
    • f printed from the internet, your coupon is legible
    • Ensure your coupon is not a photocopy
    • Ensure your coupon is not issued by one of our competitors
    • Ensure your coupon is not a mail-in rebate
    • If stacking more than one coupon, the sum of the discount cannot exceed more than 5% of the value of the product. For instance, $5.00 off an item priced at $4.99 will be OK, but $2.00 off an item priced at $1.90 is not

    Guidelines for high volume coupon redeemers:

    • Please call ahead to ensure we have adequate team members available on our front end at the time you plan to shop so that we can accommodate your needs while providing great service to our other customers.
    • At checkout, please ensure that coupons are placed with each item to speed up the coupon validation and checkout process.
    • If you hope to purchase large quantities of individual items, please provide 2 – 3 days notice to your local store manager so we can properly manage inventory requirements.
    • Please note that we reserve the right to limit quantities purchased based on inventory available for all customers.
    • Please note that we will not accept large quantities of multiple coupons during any special promotional days. For more information, please see the store manager.
    • Store issued coupons: store coupons are distributed through flyers, email, in-store kiosks, social media and direct mail.
    • Our store system reinforces the conditions of every coupon we receive to ensure that specifications are met (including banner, date, product specifications, limits, combinations, etc).
      Can be combined with vendor (manufacturer) coupons

    Vendor Coupon Procedures

    • The date must be valid (should not be expired)
    • The address must be Canadian (no US coupons)
    • The product stated on the coupon has been purchased, and all conditions have been met, e.g. size, flavor etc.
    • If it looks like a printed coupon, take it. (photocopies are hard to spot, given black and white printing of internet coupons)
    • All coupons must be presented at time of purchase
    • More than one manufacturers coupon can be accepted per item
    • If vendor coupon value is more than product, give change, to a max 5% of item price/li>
    • ‘Mail In’ coupons are not to be accepted – read the coupon carefully, it will read “Mail in for Rebate”, return the coupon to the customer and explain
    • Bottle Deposits and Recycle Fees are applicable on the full value of the product
    • Taxes are applicable to the discounted amount (using the correct vendor coupon key) unless the coupon is for a ‘free’ taxable product
    • If it looks like a vendor coupon, take it.

    Note:
    We reserve the right to amend the above mentioned practices at any time, in consideration of the best experience for our customers. April 17, 2013

  • Coupon Policy for Target.

    Target Coupon Policy Canada

    Here is the Target Canada coupon policy:

    Target Canada Coupon Policy
    Coupons are a great way to save even more when shopping with us, and it’s easy to use them at our stores. When accepting coupons, we follow the guidelines below. These guidelines apply to all coupons accepted at Target (checkout coupons, internet coupons, mailed coupons, coupons from newspapers and magazines, etc.).

    • Coupons must be presented at checkout and before your transaction is completed.
    • Each coupon is reviewed at checkout to ensure compliance with these guidelines.

    Manufacturer and Target Coupons:

    • Target accepts one manufacturer coupon and one Target coupon for the same item (unless prohibited by either coupon).
    • Limit of four identical coupons per household, per day, unless otherwise noted on the coupon.
    • Item purchased must match the coupon description (brand, size, quantity, colour, flavour, etc.).
    • Coupon amount may be reduced if it exceeds the value of the item after other discounts or coupons are applied.
    • We can’t give cash back if the face value of a coupon is greater than the purchase value of the item.
    • All applicable sales taxes are paid by the guest at the full value of the item.
    • Coupons can be redeemed against an item for which a guest holds a valid rain check, unless coupon has expired.
    • Target only accepts coupons that are valid in Canada.

    Internet (Print-at-Home) Coupons:

    • We gladly accept valid internet coupons that contain a clear and scannable bar code.
    • We do not accept internet coupons for free items with no purchase requirements.

    Buy One Get One Free (BOGO) Coupons:

    • BOGO coupons cannot be combined (i.e. you cannot use two BOGO coupons on two items and get both for free). Unless stated otherwise on the coupon, the use of one BOGO coupon requires that two valid items be presented at checkout. The full retail price of one item will be charged to the guest and the second item will be discounted by its full retail price.
    • A second cents-off coupon of the same type cannot be redeemed toward the purchase price of the first item.
    • If any Target BOGO coupon is used, one additional manufacturer coupon may be used on the first item.
    • If any manufacturer BOGO coupon is used, one additional Target coupon may be used on the first item.

    Returns:

    • Returns of items purchased using manufacturer coupons as a form of payment may receive coupon amount returned in the form of a Target GiftCard.
    • Excessive returns of items purchased with coupons may be denied.

    Exclusions:

    • Coupons are void if copied, scanned, transferred, purchased, sold, prohibited by law, or appear altered in any way.
    • We can’t accept coupons from other retailers, or coupons for products not carried in our stores.
    • Some items may not be available at all stores.
    • We do not accept mobile coupons.
    • We do not accept mail-in rebate coupons.
    • We do not accept expired coupons.
    • We reserve the right to accept, refuse, or limit the use of any coupon.

  • Jean Coutu Canada Coupon Policy

    Here is the Jean Coutu Canada coupon policy:

    GENERAL TERMS

    Discount coupons from suppliers, manufacturers and coupons issued by The Jean Coutu Group (PJC) Inc.

    We accept coupons from suppliers, manufacturers and all coupons issued by the Jean Coutu Group (circulars, newspapers, magazines and website).

    To be accepted in a PJC store, a coupon must:

    • Be submitted and used in accordance with the terms of use stated on the coupon;
    • Be presented when purchasing the product covered by the coupon and correspond to the quantity of products purchased;
    • Be clear and easily readable, with no signs of alteration or modification;
    • Be printed in color or black and white and written in French, English or be bilingual;
    • Clearly identify the nature of the offer, the applicable terms and exclusions, if any.

    These may include:

    • A reduction in $ value of the product: This value cannot exceed $ 10 without permission of a person in charge of the store who has the discretion of refusing the coupon;
    • A free item with purchase or no purchase (Internet coupons entitling a free item with no purchase are not accepted);
    • Include a readable bar code;
    • Have a valid Canadian address for reimbursement (except for Jean Coutu coupons) such as PO Box 128 Longueuil (Quebec), PO Box 1600, Pickering (Ontario) PO Box 3000, Saint John (New Brunswick).
    • Have a valid expiration date.

    If the value of a coupon exceeds the price of the product, this value should be reduced to the selling price of the product. The price difference will not be given to the customer.

    In the case of a promotion such as “Buy one Get one Free” (BOGO), a customer may also present a manufacturer coupon (such as “reduction in $ value of the product”), unless otherwise indicated in the terms of the coupon.

    In the case of a product return purchased with a coupon, the customer will be refunded for the amount actually paid, thus excluding the value of the coupon. The coupon will not be given back to the customer.

    In Quebec, coupons applicable on drugs are not accepted as no coupon that applies to a drug (as defined in the Pharmacy Act) can be legally accepted in a pharmacy.

    Electronic coupons generated and presented by a mobile device (iPod, iPhone and other devices of this type) are not accepted.

    Coupons from other retailers and competitors are not accepted.

    AIR MILES COUPONS

    The conditions indicated on bonus AIR MILES coupon prevail over the following terms:

    • Only one coupon per transaction is accepted, unless otherwise indicated on a second coupon to the effect that it can be combined with another coupon;
    • The coupon has no cash value;
    • If a coupon is applicable to a product out of inventory, the store manager will keep the coupon and issue an “Our apologies” coupon stating the number of reward miles under the applicable coupon presented.

    Internet Coupons

    We accept Internet coupons (these are coupons printed by the customer from a website other than www.jeancoutu.com and therefore have no impression on the back).

    In addition to the general conditions of acceptance they must:

    • Include a photo of the product and a single UPC code and bar code.
    • Be marked as “Internet Coupon” or identifying the issuing company.
    • Have a valid expiration date which should not exceed six months over the current date.

    Note: Internet coupons entitling a free item with no purchase are not accepted.

    Attention: the coupons ordered online, but that are delivered by mail (save.ca, websaver.ca or otherwise) are not considered as “Internet coupons,” but rather as suppliers coupons or manufacturers coupons and they must be treated as such.

    Price adjustment policy

    We have no national policy on price adjustment (price matching) when a product is advertised at a lower price at another retailer. A PJC store could however decide to respond locally to pricing strategies of the competition.

  • Costco Canada Coupon Policy

    Here is the Costco Canada coupon policy:

    Costco Wholesale does not accept general manufacturer coupons.

    We have our own coupons and promotional offers, which are distributed to members in the mail and at our locations at various times throughout the year.

    We are able to offer consistently low prices because our buyers negotiate the best deals with our vendors.

    Manufacturers often will simply ‘load’ the cost of a coupon program into the original pricing of their product. We will not permit our vendors or buyers to do this since there is no advantage to the member.

    We also do not price match.

    • Coupons have no cash value. They may be used to reduce the price on an item to no less than zero. In the case where an offer, or multiple offers, has a higher value than the cost of the product, Fields will not refund the difference in cash or product.

    Subject to the restrictions above, there is no restriction on the total number, or value, of coupons you may use in a single transaction.

    Price Match Policy:

    If you find a lower current price on an identical advertised item, bring in the ad and we’ll gladly match it.
