I needed a few things from Shoppers Drug Mart today and thought I’d try giving the “Spend $50, receive a $10 Tim Horton’s gift card” promotion a shot. I couldn’t find enough to get me to $50, so I figured I’d try using coupons to get my total higher (and still spend the same amount out of pocket).
I usually tell people to spend the minimum amount required ($50, in this case) for these types of promotions, because it’s really up to the cashier to decide whether or not you will get the gift card, but my regular cashier is awesome and just as I expected, she let me get the gift card because my total before coupons was over $50. She’s the best!
