I like making salad dressing myself so that I know exactly what goes ins it. No preservatives!
This is pretty much the only salad dressing that we use for our homemade salads. It’s SO MUCH better than any bottled variety that I have ever tried.

Andrea: Glad you liked it! We like our dressing to be a little thicker, which is why we use a bit more mustard, but you can definetely omit some of it.
I made this tonight. I put a little less mustard than what the recipe called for & it was perfect ~ very yummy!!
Deb: I haven’t left it for more than 5 days, but you could probably get away with a week. I’ll have to test it by leaving it in there longer and seeing how long it maintains it’s freshness.
How long would this last in the refrigerator?
Thanks
Deb
my receipe is quite similar, only i use splenda instead of brown sugar, for diet reasons. But i think that i will try splenda brown sugar.
love it.
I make a variation that we use on spinach salads:
1 cup olive oil
1/2 cup balsamic
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1-2 cloves crushed garlic
Thanks, E!
Seriously, this stuff is sooo yummy!.
Same for us, only balsamic dressing! Though I’ve never put mustard in it, will try!
