
This is one of those meals that looks like it would be complicated by checking out the ingredient list, but I assure you, this is one of the most simple dishes that we make in our home – and we love it!
The fresh ginger is SO important in this dish. It adds a remarkable amount of flavour!

Ingredients:
- 2 Chicken Breast, chopped into bite size pieces
- 2 Cups Rice
- 2 Cups Broccoli, chopped into bite-sized pieces
- 1 Cup Bean Sprouts
- 1 Medium Pepper, chopped into bite size pieces
- 1 Carrot, Grated
- 1/2 Teaspoon Sesame Oil
- 1/4 Cup Soy Sauce
- 3 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
- 2 Tablespoons Vinegar
- 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Onion Powder
- 2 Tablespoons Fresh Ginger, Grated
- 2 Garlic Cloves, Minced
- Dash Of Salt
- Dash Of PepperInstructions:
1. Combine soy sauce, 1 tablespoon ginger, vinegar, sesame oil, garlic powder, onion powder and brown sugar in a small bowl. Transfer to plastic zip-top bag and marinate chicken for at least two hours (overnight is best).
2. Cook rice according to package instructions.
3. Meanwhile, heat oil on medium heat and once the pan is warm, add garlic. Cook until golden, about 2 minutes.
4. Add chicken, cook until no longer pink in the middle, about 5 minutes more. Discard any excess marinade that was in the plastic zip-top bag.
5. Add in the broccoli, carrots, bean sprouts, pepper and 1 tablespoon ginger. Cook for another 3 minutes.
6. Season with salt and pepper, and serve over cooked rice.Serves 4.

When you heat oil and add garlic, is that fresh garlic? How much? Where do you add the onion and garlic powder. Do you throw out the marinade ?
