Recipe for Tomato Bacon Pasta.
We eat pasta quite a bit at our house (usually once per week), so I am always trying to come up with new pasta recipes that we can try.
This one was a real winner and we have decided that we actually prefer it to the regular ol’ pasta with tomato sauce that we usually make.
Creamy Tomato Bacon Pasta
- Servings: 4-6
Ingredients:
- 1 Pound Pasta, Cooked
- 1/2 Cup Feta Cheese, Crumbled
- 1/2 Small Onion, Minced
- 4 Tablespoons Chicken Broth
- 10 Strips Bacon, Chopped
- 1/2 Teaspoon Sugar
- 2 Tablespoons Sour Cream
- 1 Cup Whipping Cream
- 3-4 Cups Tomato Sauce
- Salt & Pepper
Instructions:
- Cook bacon and onion in a frying pan until browned. Drain out excess fat and add chicken broth and tomato sauce. Cover and simmer on low for about 10 minutes.
- Add cream, sugar, sour cream, feta cheese and salt & pepper (just a few shakes of each is good) and let simmer for another 3-4 minutes.
- Serve over cooked pasta.
