
Ingredients:
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2-4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate baking squares
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup softened butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggsInstructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350F. Butter and lightly flour a 9×5 loaf pan.2. Chop chocolate into small pieces and set aside.
3. In large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add flour, baking powder, baking soda, vanilla, sour cream and eggs until combined. Mix well.
4. Spread half of batter evenly into pan, sprinkle with half chopped chocolate and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon. Cover with remaining batter, chocolate and cinnamon. Run a knife through batter a few times to swirl chocolate.
5. Bake 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean.
Serves 12.


















Ok, that’s good. Wow – 24 hours? I can barely wait one!
Yes, it tasted real good and held together better once it was in the fridge and cooled.My fiance said that is mom used to never cut loaves till they at least sat for 24 hours….but who can wait that long! LOL
Hmm I haven’t made this one in awhile, but I do remember that my loaf was not super solid either. It’s definetely a good idea to let it sit in the pan to cool for at least 20 minutes before trying to cut it. Other than that, did it taste okay?
My loaf was sort of falling apart- maybe I cut it too soon or should have left it in the pan longer? Open to suggestions.
