    Recipe for Lemon Cookies.

    Glazed Lemon Cookies

I make these cookies every year to give as Christmas gifts and they are a huge hit each time I give them away. I’ve actually started making some extra batches to keep at home, though, because we love them too!

These cookies and soft, sweet and tangy – all at the same time. They are delicious!

    3. Add dough by tablespoonful onto baking sheets and bake for 13 minutes.
    4. Cool cookies completely and then mix together your powdered sugar and lemon juice.
    5. Dip cookies into glaze (or drizzle some onto the cookies, if you prefer) and wait about 10 minutes for the icing to set before serving.

Made a batch of these the other day and making another now for a school party. They are really tasty. Thank you. I use to have a recipe like this one that I made with orange juice and orange rind. I lost it. I would love the recipe Andrea.

Anne: Nope, you don’t need to.

    4. Anne says:

      Hi, Cassie,
These sound so delicious that I’d like to go out right now and buy some lemons! One question though, please: do you need to butter the baking sheets at all? Sometimes cookie dough sticks to unbuttered/ungreased cookie sheets, so I wouldn’t want that to happen here. Thanks!

And Happy Holidays to you, your family, and baby-to-be!

    5. Mrs January says:

Beckie: Thank you! I’m so glad you like them. :)

Hi Andrea- I would love your orange cookies recipe!

    9. Andrea says:

Wow – they look so much like the huge batch of orange cookies that I made on Thursday (Dec 8) last week!! It’s a recipe passed on from the Italian side of the family – super easy – simple ingredients (I’ve even used regular Oasis OJ – rather than fresh sqeezed – if I’m lazy or don’t have enough oranges in the fridge). They freeze well and make 60 cookies. Happy to share the recipe – if anyone wants it.

Didn’t have lemons so substituted oranges instead and add milk choc chips. My husband and sons just wanted to keep eating all the cookies. They were delicious. I am curious about your orange recipe though if you could send it to me I would love it. Thanks so much for sharing this recipe is a keeper! Just wrote it down in my recipe book.

    10. Sarah says:

These sound delicious! Do they freeze well?

    11. Eeyah says:

LOL! I just made an almost identical recipe yesterday, and they are delicious! So good in fact that I have to make a second (and third??) batch because hubbster ate too many and I had planned to give them as gifts :)

    12. Ashley says:

Yum! These remind me of cookies that my grandmas old Italian neighbor makes all the time. The recipe is very similar but they call them something else.

    13. kris says:

mmmm – im going out tomorrow to pick up some lemons so i can make this!

    14. Lisa says:

      Its there now- Thank you!

    15. Lisa says:

Hey Mrs J. I would like to try this recipe. But when do you add the butter? Am I missing it? I can’t see in the instructions where the butter is!
      Help!

      Lisa
