We’ve been buying lots of peaches from farmers markets and stores lately because they are so cheap and delicious right now. The other night I decided to do something other than just eat the peaches or bake them – I made peach crisp!
This is one of my favourite desserts and I look forward to September every year so that I can make lots of it.

Ingredients:

1. Add peaches to a large baking dish.
2. In a small bowl, mix together the flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and sugar. Pour over peaches and mix until all peaches are coated, being extra careful not to break up any of the peaches.Topping:
1. Mix all dry ingredients together, then add butter chunks by “cutting” them into the dry ingredients.
2. Once the mixture has become crumbly, sprinkle over peaches.
3. Bake at 400F for about 30 minutes.Serves 5.

Just made the crumble part of this recipe using homemade canned peaches. Very yummy! Will definitely be making it again. Thanks for sharing.
Do you have any idea how you would be able to do this in the winter when fresh peaches are not in season.
that sounds delish too. think I’ll try it for breakfast (probably healthier than peach jam)
Try a peach sandwich!
A friend of mine turned me onto them a week or so ago and OMG they delicious!
Toast some fresh white bread, butter it, slice up some peaches, pile them high on your bread, sprinkle just a bit of sugar on them and slap the other piece of toast on!
i ‘m not a big peach eater and I have eaten a whole basket to myself in the past week!
Sounds like the recipe I have (awesome!!!!). I use the same recipe for pears, apples, or whatever fruit I happen to have to make as a crisp. When I wanted to save on hydro, I used to put it in the microwave on Med. for 10 minutes (depending on how strong your microwave is).
This looks delicious… I think I’ll give it a try!!
I made nectarine crisp one time for a get-together because I had lots that had to be used and I loved it even more than apple crisp! My recipe is a bit different, but oh so delish!
