{Over} Giveaway: Cloth Diaper Package (Value of $100+) from Apple Cheeks

    ***GIVEAWAY CLOSED***
    Winner: viviane11@

I’ve been toying with the idea of cloth diapers ever since Elliott was born over 2 years ago, but was never ready to take the plunge. I was scared of the extra laundry, the messes and the upfront costs.

About 6 weeks ago, I received an email from Apple Cheeks, asking if I would like to sample their diapers. I jumped at the chance, since a start up pack of re-useable diapers can be expensive and I wanted to make sure I liked them before agreeing to use them with our second child.

I received 1 diaper for Elliott, 1 swim diaper and 1 diaper for the new baby (who is due at the end of March).

Elliott was not a big fan of the diaper at first, but I think that was just because it was different. After he wore it a few times, it was just like any other diaper to him.

My only complaint about the diapers is that they can be a bit bulky, but other than that, they are great! I may consider using them for baby #2 (we do have a lot of disposables in the stockpile though, but I suppose we could use those for overnight and travelling).

Apple Cheeks has generously offered to giveaway a cloth diaper package (including 9 micro terry inserts, 3 envelope covers and 1 swim diaper – a value of over $100) to one lucky MrsJanuary.com reader.

If you would like to win, please leave a comment with your opinion on cloth diapering.

You must leave a valid email address with your comment, or you are not eligible to win.

Contest closes on February 1, 2012 at 12pm EST. Valid for Canadian residents only.

OMG!! Thank you Applecheeks and MrsJanuary. I never win anything!!! :)

    2. Valerie Mill says:

I wanted to use cloth diapers with my first child and made the mistake of buying quite a few that were on sale but didn’t work for us. I ended up having a pile of cloth diapers at home that were bulky and never worked for my son and couldn’t justify spending any more money on them. Now that our daughter is on the way (due Mar. 23rd), I would welcome the opportunity to ‘try to get it right’ this time around!

    3. Sam says:

I am so glad that I faced my intimidation head on and started cloth diapering my precious baby girl….I truly want only the best for her and I am willing to do whatever it takes to give that to her. I have enjoyed exploring the different types of diaper styles and systems and would love to give Applecheeks a chance in my (growing) collection :)

    7. Julie says:

I have always wondered about using cloth diapers. I think the idea of a larger up front cost seems to halt me. Although I get good deals on disposable diapers, it seems more ecological & economical in the long run to use cloth diapers. I would really like to try them.

I really love cloth diaper. It is the best way to save money when you get kids

    9. Ranata says:

I am an expecting mother and am open to the option of cloth diapers. I have seen them used in the past and the idea of contributing to a healthier planet sits very well with me. I will definitely give cloth diapers a try for this first baby :)

      LOVE CLOTH DIAPERS!
I have only tried the Apple Cheeks Swimmer, however, CDing at home and doing sposies during travel and nights are what I have been doing with my, now, 19 month old son since day 10…. Works out great, we save a TON! Found CD’s before Couponing, and it was def the cheaper way to go… and sooo much cuter! Planning on F/T CDing for #2 (when he/she) comes along :D
Also – Diaperswappers.com is a Great resource for new and used dipes, and opinions on all! Thank you sooo much for this giveaway, and I hope you enjoy CDing as much as we do… PS the laundry isnt that bad if its P/T – maybe twice a week and not yucking at all if your BFing. One word of warning – buying CD’s are addictive cause they are sooo frickin cute.

Cloth diapers are great for those who need them and can afford them. Our daughter was born ill and is allergic to EVERYTHING…she cant have milk, soya, meats, etc. she has rashes all over her body etc. and i have been wanting to switch her diapers to cloth but i can not afford them !! This give away is awesome !!! Cuz honestly when your spending $1,000 plus a month on just special formula , everything else can get very costly…Good Luck to all !!

    12. Melanie says:

I love cloth diapering and saving the environment! I am getting a little tired of my prefolds and would love to try something more stylish! I would love to try Apple cheeks on my son, he would rock them!

    13. Vickie says:

Cloth diapers are a great way to provide comfort and security for baby’s bottom – I use cloth part time for both my girls when they were young at home and had much less rashes then when I used disposable. Now my daughter is expecting her first 2 children (twins) and is looking to cloth as a viable economical choice

    14. Kristy says:

I really wanted to start cloth when (or soon after) my daughter was born. We bought all the diapers and supplies, but unfortunately, they are too big around her little legs. So, we have unfortunately been using disposables. I would like to find a cloth diaper that works for us, but don’t want to spend any more money until we find the right ones! A free sample would help with this!
