We left the house at 10pm and ended up in Niagara Falls, New York around midnight (we got lost.. don’t ask). We headed over to the mall right away and went and stood outside of Aeropostale. There was already a big line. Well, it was more of a giant mosh pit, but you get the point. We pushed our way into the pit (nicely of course) and when the doors opened we flew into the store. I say flew because we were pushed so much from every side of us that our feet didn’t even touch the ground.
So I’m in the door and my sister and I are seperated already. Whatever. I’ll go find stuff. Run to racks, grab stuff. Don’t know what it is, just make sure it’s my size. Get to the register, don’t remember what I bought, check it and it’s all good, buy it. I got 2 shirts (which didn’t end up fitting), a pajama set, and 2 pairs of pajama pants for $100. Not a very good deal, but too late now.
We walk around the mall a bit but don’t find much else so we make our way to Wal-Mart. By this time it is 2am and there are about 50 people in line. We stand in line for less than 5 minutes before I decide I’m too cold and there is no way I’m standing in the cold for 3 hours. We go back to the car and stay there until about 3am. By this time there are approximately 175 people in line. We go stand in the cold. Talk to the people in front of us, they have been here before and give us tips on how to get what we want.
The next thing you know it’s 5am and we are all entering the store. By entering, I don’t mean a nice calm walk, I mean a mad dash every which way possible. There are line-ups for buggies. I cringe. We grab baskets and again are seperated. I walk about 20 feet and decide I HATE THIS PLACE and put my basket down. There is no way in hell I am going to run around that store grabbing random objects and getting buggies slammed into my ass just to save a few bucks.
I go to the checkout and see my sister in line. She did good. I’m proud and jealous at the same time. We leave and go to Target… only so I can film the crazy people. I have a video of the line-up, when the doors opened, and inside the store. You can see them on my YouTube page right here.

I remember when you yelled at that chick behind us
That is insane! People go crazy over it, and they really don’t save all that much unless they are buying really expensive items like computers or appliances, etc. It’s not worth it to the average shopper.
The sizing at Aero is really weird with the shirts. I’ve tried on stuff there, I think it was a long sleeve thermal in a size small, and it literally got stuck on me! It took ages to get it off without ripping! And I’m usually a size small, too.
you can never have too many pajamas!!!!
I did the whole Black Friday thing too… and managed to walk away with only a few bruises! And I think those are mainly from me walking into things, rather than people beating me up over items! Gotta love the deals though!
i went to the wal-mart sale, but our wal-mart is 24 hours, so we didn’t have to stand outside. thank god. considering it was like 15 degrees outside. that’s the only sale we went to. probably because i live in a super small town and that’s all we have, is a wal-mart. lol. we got everything we wanted and got out pretty quick. it’s hectic though, especially with people trying to steal stuff out of your buggy. geeze. i, also, find it entertaining
Oh man, that is crazy!! I’m glad I stayed in!!
People are crazy rude on black friday. Almost every year the news reports how there was a fight between two people in the store.
Holy cow!! That is why I never do the whole Black Friday thing. NUTS!
omg that line was sooo long.
