To request a Price Match:

Price Match requests cannot be made at time of ordering; requests must be made in person. At pick-up, or within 30 days of pick-up or home delivery, bring in the local competitor’s current print advertisement showing a lower price for the identical national-brand item, and your original Sears sales receipt, to the nearest Sears catalogue location.

Canadian website prices as offered by comparable competitors will be honoured when accompanied by a printout of the current website advertisement. If your request qualifies, you will be refunded the difference in price.

For C.O.D. orders (where accepted), cash will be refunded or a cheque will be mailed to your home address; for account purchases the refund will be handled by a credit to the account used (credit may appear on the next statement that follows the statement showing the item purchase).

For Children’s Apparel and Footwear, Nursery Products or Juvenile products, we’ll match any competitor’s advertised price for identical merchandise offered in Sears catalogues and on within 30 days of purchase, or 90 days on purchases made with your Sears Financial Credit Card.

FYI – Sears informed me that they can’t accept manufacturer coupons. I’m not sure if this is true or just what the manager’s personal policy was.

I’ve used this policy before (on my parents’ TV) and it was a fight. I wouldn’t waste the time to argue a price match on smaller items.

I’m not impressed with their policy either. It appears to be such a hassle having to go back to the store with a catalogue location if you’re having it delivered.

The Bay accepts manufacturer coupons at the store level.

As for electronics, there is usually some slight differences for the same product. Electronic stores do this on purpose. Anyway, electronics are exempt for price matching.
      Not impressed!

I received a crib as part of my baby registry. The shower was on may 18,2013 and today on may 26,2013 the crib is $70.00 cheaper at the same Sears location. Could I get the difference issued as they are able to see it was purchased on my registry or can the person who purchased get the difference?

I am very skeptical because I received something on my registry that did not fit my play yard. Even though the person who paid for them item paid more, they only reimbursed me the current price.

Not sure how this sears system works
