  • 3 Weeks to a Spring Clean Home: Task #6 Update

  • We have 13 doors in our home (not including the front and back doors), so today’s task was actually more work than I had anticipated.

Luckily the doors were really only dirty on the bottom and near the door knobs, since that’s where Elliott can reach.

I thought for sure that the bathroom doors would be the dirtiest, but surprisingly it was the office and bedroom doors that had the most grime on them.

I used just a warm wash cloth with a bit of soap to clean the doors and door frames, but some spots were especially dirty and required the help of a Mr. Clean magic eraser.

For those of you that did this along with me, did you make sure to clean the tops of your door frames? I found more dust than I’m willing to admit on ours. So glad they are clean now!

If you joined in on this spring cleaning task, how did you do? Please share your progress in the comments so we can all motivate and inspire one another!

3 Weeks to a Spring Clean Home: Task #6 Update

I have to admit, I have skipped #2, 4 and 6. I do have a good excuse. We are going room to room in our house as well as these great steps from mrs.january. I unfortunately have a 3 story house plus a basement and has been under renovations so it is just easier to take it one room at a time and and do one full day, one full room ceiling to floor at a time. However, I am realizing sometimes that is way to overwhelming so sometimes we do the major work one day and the minor work another. I love this blog.

I am having so much fun following along and doing all the cleaning. It’s so much nicer than doing it all at one time and less overwhelming! Thanks so much for doing this!

I agree with Lisa I’d like a list of previous tasks. Isn’t it raining in Toronto Cassie? I refuse to do windows in the rain. That and I have 16 windows in this house……

Cassue: Do you have a list up anywhere on your site with a list of tasks to date? I just started visiting your site and would like to do the previous tasks witjpit havig to sift through your many posts.

Cassie, you just had a baby , have a toddler run this site AND do a HARDCORE spring clean. Your amazing SUPERMOM!

    9. Jessica says:

    10. Mia says:

Due to a late night at work I didn’t get to this but will save it for another day. I didn’t even think to clean under the doors… silly of me! I will definitely do that though. Sounds like a worthwhile task!

I need to get going on these! I have good intentions but haven’t done them yet! Tomorrow for sure!
