  • 3 Weeks to a Spring Clean Home: Task #7 Update

The weather was relatively nice today, so I was happy to open up all the windows and get them and the window frames nice and clean.

Elliott was a great helper. He LOVES washing windows (and walls, and tables.. pretty much anything he can wipe with a rag or paper towel).

I’m always disgusted by the amount of filth that accumulates on the outside of our windows. So gross!

The window in our master bedroom was the hardest, but only because it is huge and very heavy (the one I take out to clean).

I’m happy to report that all of the windows in our home are now squeaky clean!

We have a nice view of the side of our neighbour’s house!

Dusting for cobwebs was easy. We had a few big ones in the basement, but that was pretty much it, thankfully.

Cleaning our face plates was a simple job as well. I often clean these whenever I notice they look dirty, so they weren’t that bad today.

Well as I said before we are kinda going room by room with our cleaning but i had left the windows so far, but today, (yes i am still like a week behind) we did the dining room window, and one of our back room windows inside and out. They look fantastic, only 20 more windows to go!

windows we get down – we hire a university business it cost under $200 but we have 2 story windows and they do both in and out its great and for us totally worth it.

I did my walls, doors and door frames today. I’m trying to catch up to where you are. I had my 2 year old and 4 year old help as well. It was pretty fun. The kitchen windows are going to be a pain in the butt having to remove them and put them back but it definitely needs to be done. This is a great idea having this to keep me going and motivated!

Finally decided to take a chance and wash my winter gear. Watch it snow next week. They smelled soooooo bad – good thing my detergent is free *thumbsup* :D
