Organize Your Linen Closet – An Organized Home In 30 Days

Organized Home

How did you go with the first organizing task? Hopefully you had some success and feel great going into this “An Organized Home in 30 Days” challenge, now that one thing is crossed off the list.

Here is today’s organizing challenge:

Empty out and then organize your linen closet. Cut up old towels and use them as rags, get rid of the excess stuff you don’t need, and fold your sheets, towels and blankets in ways that will really maximize your space.

This is a huge task for me, and one I have been putting off for months now – so I am actually really excited to get it finished! I’ll check in later tonight to let you know how I made out.

I just did this a couple weeks ago, so mine wasn’t too bad to reorganize. Task done!

I just rearranged my linen closet a few days ago but went through today and found some towels that can turn into rags and also went through the girls jewellry boxes that are in there as well.

Haha, you must be reading my mind because I had just changed my purse to a clutch wallet and cleaned that out last week. Then a few days ago, my linen closet was driving me crazy and my hubby needed some rags for in the garage so I did that too. Just have to finish up the bed sheets and this task will be done; yay!
Thanks for doing this, I like the one task a day…it’s not so overwhelming that way 🙂

Tidied and re-organized the linen closet.
Good idea for towels for rags for the garage.
Like this way to organize…one task at a time!
    Thanks…Mrs. January!

I have an extra large linen closet and it still always seems jammed. This will be a good challenge today. My top shelf looks like The Bath and Body Shop….not complaining though. We saw a video on folding fitted sheets and my husband tried it yesterday – he does the laundry. He said it really worked well and the sheets do look a lot flatter on the shelf. I hang my tablecloths on pants hangers in a spare closet (yes, I have one of those!) so now all I have to do is go through the towels and I’m done.

I finally got around to posting my pics of this — http://heatherbassoon.blogspot.ca/2013/06/ugly-closet-meet-pretty-closet.html. Such a big improvement! Thank you for the inspiration!
