We had a much needed busy day today. Yes, I said it was NEEDED for us to be BUSY. We do alot of nothing most of the time, so it’s rather exciting when we have things to do. Even the most tedious of things such as cleaning the house and going grocery shopping. Speaking of groceries, I bought 4 whole chickens for $14. FOURTEEN DOLLARS! Those things usually go for about ten bucks each. Too bad I don’t have my deep freezer yet or I would have bought alot more. Now that I know how to cook a whole chicken, I can do it more often. They are tasty. They are even better the next day. We use the chicken for soup, sandwhiches, chili, pizza and even just on it’s own with some veggies and potatoes. Yum! I just can’t do red meat. It’s not my thing, ya’ll! Poultry is where it’s at. Can I get a high five or WHAT.

Richard’s mom and sisters came to visit us tonight and Elliott finally got to meet his aunt Amanda and cousin Alex (they live in Pennsylvania). They brought over some yummy food except EW. ONIONS. ON PIZZA. Please excuse me while I barf…

Okay, done. Elliott loved all of Alex’s toys but was especially fascinated by a toy bus that played music and had flashing lights. He loved it so much that he tried to lay on it. And then eat it. When you would try to pick him up, he’d pick the bus up with him. He was not letting that thing go. I’m pretty sure we have to buy him one now. Damn those kids and their toys.

I swear my kid is going to completely skip crawling and go straight to walking. All he wants to do is be on his feet. If you lie him down for more than 30 seconds, oooh you’d better watch your back. He will look for the closest object and whip it at the back of your head. His face goes bright red as he screams bloody murder, just begging to stand back up. Once he’s on his feet – big huge smile. So with that and the constant drooling.. yeah, he doesn’t chill out much. But I love him anyway.

It was a good time and we can’t wait to see everyone again soon!
