    Thankful

In honour of Thanksgiving, today I thought I would share 10 things that I am thankful for this year.

I’d love it if you shared what you are thankful for in the comments!

    1. My Family

My little family means so much to me. Being a wife and mother is something that I have always wanted to be, and am so happy to say that I am both. I may be a bit biased here, but I’m pretty sure I have the best husband and children in the world (even if they do drive me crazy sometimes!).

    2. My Animals

I think it’s safe to say that I will always be a pet owner. Our dog and cats bring so much happiness to my life! Whenever I am in a bad mood, they are the only ones that can instantly cheer me up.

    3. My Job

I love my job so much. I am so thankful that I am able to work for myself, at home with my kids. I am thankful that I can work in my pajamas if I want to, take vacations on a whim and never have to worry about losing my job. Most of all, I am thankful for YOU, the reader. Without you, this site would not exist. Thank you for reading, commenting and sending me emails. I appreciate it more than you will ever know.

    4. My Best Friend

My life would be incomplete without my best friend Erica. She is the most selfless person I have ever met and I love her as though she was my sister. She helps me with my kids, this site and everything in between. I would be broken without her.

    5. Coffee

I have never been a coffee drinker until this year. My mother in law came to stay here for a few days and brought coffee with her. I drank it once and was hooked. Now, I’m kind of obsessed with it. It’s the only thing that can get me out of bed in the morning.

    6. Pinterest

Yes, that’s right, I am thankful for Pinterest! That amazing website allows me to organize my favourite things much better than the “Favourites” bar on my Internet browser ever could.

    7. Supporters

To every single one of you that bought a copy of my latest eBook, Money in Your Pocket (2nd Edition), thank you. Thank you for supporting me, this site and ultimately, my family.

    8. My Camera

I own a Nikon D70s and use it almost every day. I am thankful that I own this camera and am able to capture all of the memories in our lives. And the food. I like taking pictures of food.

    9. Our Barbecue

We have used our barbecue far more than I ever thought we would, and as a result, are eating lots of yummy meals. I hate being restricted to just the stove, so the barbecue has been great. That was $850 well spent.

    10. Coupons

Without coupons, we would not be able to save so much money. We’ve saved so much on groceries over the last few years, that we were able to set aside enough to buy a house (we move in 2 weeks – stay tuned for our home-buying story)!

What are you thankful for this year?

10 Things I am Thankful For This Year

Number one thing I am thankful for is the good health of my children. This summer my son had surgery, and I am grateful for his complete recovery.

This past year has been financially tough for me; however, I have used your site to help me stretch my grocery money. My family has eaten better, and I have become so much more aware of how I spend my grocery budget. My 12 year old daughter loves to help me organize my coupons!

This summer we also adopted a dog, and she has brought so much joy into our lives.

One of my Top Ten things I’m grateful for is (#3) Being introduced to the website Mrs January dot com. Cassie, you and your team has directly saved My Mom and myself $200. to $300. dollars and indirectly another $500. to $600 since January 2012. I have since being introduced to the site, have told about a dozen others including 2 people in the check out line after seeing my shopping kit I carry on every shopping trip.

      Once again Thank-you Mrs January

I am also thankful for my family & pets (which I consider part of the family) & all are dear friends.
I am also thankful to you Cassie for all the great tips & hlep you provide me with daily. We have just started couponing but already in the past year we have saved so much by following some of your great advise & I even have a nice stockpile started!

Bless you & your family …enjoy a wonderful Thanksgivings with your loved ones!

For me – family tops the list. We all have members in our families who drive us crazy and those whom we miss dearly. I’m thankful for my whole family – those that are there for me each and every day, those who wander in and out of my life but make me laugh and seem to show up just when I need them the most, those who have passed on but have left an imprint on my life, and for my children – all of them – birth, adopted & foster children – for without them my life would not be as blessed.

It’s sooo funny that you say you are thankful for coffee. I totally agree. I used to never be much of a coffee drinker until baby number 2 was born and now it’s pretty much keeping me going. I’m also thankful for my family, my home, and definately coupons. I am a single mom and coupons have pretty much helped my children and me survive. Thanks for teaching me how to coupon. Happy Thanksgiving

I, too, am extremely thankful for my husband and children. And like Cassie, I was able to work at home while they were growing up, and now that they are 15, 17, 18, and 20 I am even more thankful because I didn’t miss any time with them. They grow up so darn fast! I am thankful for the life I have, in the country we’re in, and the many many blessings we have!

I really liked this column, Cassie. You’re such a sweet girl! As a mom of a wonderful adult daughter, I saw a bit of my daughter in you, just now! Anyone that worries about the younger generation just needs to read this column and see “the kids are alright”.

I’m thankful for my healthy family, great jobs and a beautiful home to live in. I’m also very thankful to you Cassie for teaching me so much about couponing and Shoppers Optimum Points (I love Shoppers Optimum) :) I started my stockpile in January of 2012 after first stumbling across your site, and now my stockpile looks like a store. My husband tells me there are some things I’m not allowed to buy now even though I have a coupon. (ie: Laundry soap, we have 32 bottles in the stockpile). I always look forward to reading your posts each day. Happy Thanksgiving and Good Health to everyone.

    9. Erica says:

You totally just made me cry. I love you and your family so much and i am so thankful that we met and became friends. You are the best friend a girl could ask for.

    10. Kris says:

Im thankful for my family, and our amazing life, we are truly blessed. I am also thankful for you Cassie! Without you we wouldnt be able to save as much money as we do, you have no idea how much this has helped our family. We owe you so much.

    11. Angela says:

Cassie I am thankful for you! This was my first year to really step up and pay attention to saving with coupons and other deals out there. I can call it a success only because of the service you provide through your site. It is a big help in subsidizing our groceries and supplies for our house. Thank you for being such an encouragement! God bless you and your family. Happy Thanksgiving!

Im thankful for my good friends who would run to help at the drop of a dime, my family and all its members near and far who would also drop everything if we needed help.I’m thankful for the home we have and that we both have jobs this year! Coffee is also on my list as well
