10 Things I am Thankful For This Year
In honour of Thanksgiving, today I thought I would share 10 things that I am thankful for this year.
I’d love it if you shared what you are thankful for in the comments!
1. My Family
My little family means so much to me. Being a wife and mother is something that I have always wanted to be, and am so happy to say that I am both. I may be a bit biased here, but I’m pretty sure I have the best husband and children in the world (even if they do drive me crazy sometimes!).
2. My Animals
I think it’s safe to say that I will always be a pet owner. Our dog and cats bring so much happiness to my life! Whenever I am in a bad mood, they are the only ones that can instantly cheer me up.
3. My Job
I love my job so much. I am so thankful that I am able to work for myself, at home with my kids. I am thankful that I can work in my pajamas if I want to, take vacations on a whim and never have to worry about losing my job. Most of all, I am thankful for YOU, the reader. Without you, this site would not exist. Thank you for reading, commenting and sending me emails. I appreciate it more than you will ever know.
4. My Best Friend
My life would be incomplete without my best friend Erica. She is the most selfless person I have ever met and I love her as though she was my sister. She helps me with my kids, this site and everything in between. I would be broken without her.
5. Coffee
I have never been a coffee drinker until this year. My mother in law came to stay here for a few days and brought coffee with her. I drank it once and was hooked. Now, I’m kind of obsessed with it. It’s the only thing that can get me out of bed in the morning.
6. Pinterest
Yes, that’s right, I am thankful for Pinterest! That amazing website allows me to organize my favourite things much better than the “Favourites” bar on my Internet browser ever could.
7. Supporters
To every single one of you that bought a copy of my latest eBook, Money in Your Pocket (2nd Edition), thank you. Thank you for supporting me, this site and ultimately, my family.
8. My Camera
I own a Nikon D70s and use it almost every day. I am thankful that I own this camera and am able to capture all of the memories in our lives. And the food. I like taking pictures of food.
9. Our Barbecue
We have used our barbecue far more than I ever thought we would, and as a result, are eating lots of yummy meals. I hate being restricted to just the stove, so the barbecue has been great. That was $850 well spent.
10. Coupons
Without coupons, we would not be able to save so much money. We’ve saved so much on groceries over the last few years, that we were able to set aside enough to buy a house (we move in 2 weeks – stay tuned for our home-buying story)!
What are you thankful for this year?
